Game of Thrones Mother of Schnauzers shirt

I’ve read in the case of schnauzers that, in the case of a fully grown tail, it doesn’t get enough blood flow and will eventually atrophy, at which point, it’d need to be amputated anyway. If this is true, and I believe I read this tidbit in a thorough breed book of schnauzers (along with other tidbits like they have a healthy amount of poodle originally bred into them, giving both breeds the traits of hypoallergenic fur and an eagerness to “please” humans - which is a world away from our decades long dachshund experience!) then docking the tail is the humane thing to do - in this breed.
