I proudly admit I rub my meat before I stick it in shirt. This technique for starting the coals worked out really great for me and I thought I’d pass it along. So, I thought I’d try to start the fire from below kinda like the chimney. This technique worked good for a hot fire, but probably is not too good for low slow – the fire spreads out too fast.
