Of course, he could have pretended not to know them (for some reason) but if that was the case, why didn’t he do that when Luke as about his father? Obi clearly averts his eyes, there is a brief pause where he looks uncomfortable, before looking back at Luke and telling him about Vader. So, why show no emotional distress at seeing the droids, but doing so when asked about Anakin?
