I think the reason you’re trying to communicate that there is learning going on is because you’re trying to justify it to other people your age. You’re trying to say, “Oh, no… it’s really a learning experience for my son,” because that’s what good mothers do. Good mothers spend time with their kids and work to influence their lives for the better. I play Pokemon Cards with my nephew because he’s into that. He’s a really awkward and nerdy kid, so I use those times to also convey life lessons about how to make more friends. But I also kind of enjoyed it, and now my custom built “Neverending Nightmare” deck is pretty darn good, if I say so myself.
