I drive tractor trailer cross country and see so many stupid things that are usually only fixed when someone gets killed by the idiot drivers(hopefully just themselves and no on else). Had to stop one time to show dash cam footage of a idiot who cut over 3 lanes to get to his exit but because he couldn’t see the car coming up beside me on the right he ended up hitting it and causing a 4 vehicle accident. Turns out his license was suspended for aggressive driving, go figure.
Or the peeps I’ve watched do stupid things with animals - wrap a python around their necks, holding a aggressive snake in one hand and a prey animal in the other, challenging a bull to a stare down, literally walking out in a meadow to pet a bear cub, and so many others. But, I think maybe one of the stupidest I have heard of(not my story, just relating it) was a junior officer telling a E-6 mechanic in the engineroom to do something a certain way. Being told in no uncertain terms by the E-6 that this would probably break the ship(which was very old, don’t remember for sure what type).
