We often ignore that men can be victims of abuse too, especially emotional abuse. Many girlfriends get away with abusing their boyfriends because the society believes women are weaker than men and therefore can’t hurt them. This is exactly why we need feminism. Sure gender inequality hurts women but men can be victims of this phenomenon more than we’d like to think. Even if there is no abuse involved,And it is a healthy relationship. Losing a special person who you can lean on always causes anguish to both parties involved. You’re losing your partner in life, a best friend and your cheerleader. That’s your special person we’re talking about.
And of course something like that hurts men and women alike and lead to the person being broken. Please remember that just because someone isn’t crying doesn’t mean that they’re okay. Depression is often not a loud disease, it slowly sucks the life of the person. Please check your friends well being from time to time, you can never guess when a person needs it the most and a single conversation can possible change a persons life. I am speaking from personal experience here.
